The ADSA/ASAS Joint Meeting took place in INDIANAPOLIS, IN from July 7th to the 11th. This conference can be considered to be the largest one in the Americas for monogastric and ruminant animals. Almost all topics on animal husbandry were covered in this conference. Most of the presentations referred to animal nutrition, especially ruminants. Therefore the ADSA-ASAS meeting is always a good place to meet people from governmental organizations, universities but also from collaborating companies. In 2009 this conference will take place in Montreal, Canada.
The BIOMIN research team was represented by Yunior Acosta Aragon (Technical Manager), Ursula Hofstetter (Director Strategic Business Unit) and Anja Ganner (R&D Project Manager). Yunior Acosta Aragon presented two posters about aerobic stability of silages and gave an oral presentation about phytogenics and acidifiers. Ursula Hofstetter presented a poster about occurrence of mycotoxins in distillers grains; Anja Ganner gave a poster presentation and an oral presentation about the efficacy of yeast products to bind pathogenic bacteria.
In addition to the scientific team BIOMIN employees from US and Canada had a booth in the commercial exhibition and presented news on BIOMINs product portfolio. |
