The 8th International Conference “Mycotoxins and moulds” was held in Bydgoszcz (Poland) from 25th to 27th of June. Dr. hab. Jan Grajewski from the Division of Physiology and Toxicology, Department of Experimental Biology, Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz organized this workshop. Around 100 participants from 8 European countries attended the conference. The conference language was Polish and for guests from abroad English or German.

- Regulations
- Analytical developments
- Occurrence and production of mycotoxins
- Toxicology of mycotoxins
- Prevention strategies
In the last session, Karin Griessler (Technical Manager, BIOMIN GmbH) spoke about strategies to counteract deoxynivalenol and ochratoxin A in growing broiler chicken.
It was a nice conference about mycotoxins and moulds which gave young scientists as well as long experienced researchers the opportunity to present their scientific results and to discuss the findings. Additionally, the social program was very attractive and pointed out the excellent Polish cuisine. The next International Conference “Mycotoxins and moulds” will be held 2010. |
