Applicants for the BRAIN Program should be BSC, MSC, PhD-Students, Post docs, Assistant Professors or Professors. The applicant must be supported by an academic or research institute which has the size and resources (trial facilities, equipment) to fulfil the requirements of the BRAIN Program and to perform the research indicated in the respective project proposal. How many BRAIN Programs exist? There are the - BRAIN Projects (Scientific Studies) and the - BRAIN Publications (Scientific Awards) BRAIN Projects can be subdivided into: - Scientific Studies invited by BIOMIN and - Scientific Studies proposed by research teams. What is BRAIN Projects? BRAIN Projects - Call for Studies is focused on certain research subjects defined by BIOMIN (a list of current subjects will be provided after registration at brain@biomin.net). BRAIN Projects - Studies proposed by research teams is open to any project proposal dealing with BIOMIN's research fields. How can I receive the list of current BRAIN Projects subjects? Send us an - email (brain@biomin.net) or - letter (BIOMIN GmbH, BRAIN Program, Industriestrasse 21, 3130 Herzogenburg, Austria), introducing yourself and the related research institution, and we will provide you with the current list of research subjects. Does the applicant for the BRAIN Program need to be university staff? No, the applicant does not need to be employed by a university. Applicants can work at any research center or scientific institute, but must have the capacity, background, and the facilities available to conduct a BRAIN research program. How will I be informed that my proposed project will be funded? BIOMIN will contact proposed project partners and authors of awarded papers and provide them with further details. Winners of BRAIN Projects and BRAIN Publications will be invited to the World Nutrition Forum, and get the opportunity to present their studies at this international scientific panel. How will I be informed that my paper will be awarded? BIOMIN will contact proposed project partners and authors of awarded papers and provide them with further details. What is the evaluation process of BRAIN Projects and BRAIN Publications? In the case of BRAIN Projects, an interdisciplinary jury will decide upon funding for proposed research programs and studies. The jury will be comprised of members of BIOMINs R&D-department and product management, as well as external specialists. Papers submitted within BRAIN Publications will be peer-reviewed by internationally recognized scientists. Is participation in the BRAIN Program limited to European citizens? No, researchers and scientists of any nationality are invited to participate in the BRAIN Program, as long as the applicant fulfils the requirements (see Regulations).
